Voila, here is the second part of our trip. Lots of cool Greek and Egyptian (yikes) artifacts. I really love ancient Egypt and Greece; their culture, history, everything. So it was so fun to be able to see a bunch of artifacts, even The Scribe. I can remember seeing him in my history books for as long as I can remember, it was bunches of fun. It really makes me want to go to Egypt now, I always have but now especially!! Who knows, I am on this side of the world now.......
Hey Everyone!! This weekend we went to the Louvre, it was pretty awesome. We were able to see some artwork, including the Mona Lisa, and the Egyptian and Greek exhibits (pics to come later). There is no way that we could have seen it all, it's crazy how big that place is. I can't imagine people ever living there. The ceiling were so ornate in some places that I really was curious how it was being held up! It was absolutely beautiful in some areas but it others it seemed completely ridiculous! It was tons of fun and I can't wait to go again so we can see more!
Do you want to come over and drink tea with me? Because it's cold outside, raining and our apartment came with lovely little green cups. And it would be really nice to see some friends, so will you come?
It is Friday after all!
Since being here we have thoroughly learned that people all over the world get fall sniffles. There isn't any time that there isn't someone sick at school. We have had some head cold/cough type things going around and at last it has hit me. But I got by for a while, thank God!
Other than dealing with a cold, life has been plugging along. We learned just the other day that we have friends coming to visit soon!! Yeah! And potentially some family later on. What a blessing that will be!
A huge praise is that our SIM cards finally got here. After 5 weeks of waiting they were in our mailbox yesterday!! It was such an unexpected treat!! Fall has really arrived now, this morning my nose was most certainly reddened by the brisk air. It's so fun!! Makes you want to wear a sweater and boot!! Something that I most certainly won't be wanting in Burkina!! What's the weather like where you are at?
