Attention Everyone!!

29.6.13

because this post needed a pretty picture!

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you follow my blog through Google Friend Connect (GFC) you will need to follow through either Feedly or Bloglovin', since Google Friend Connect is shutting down on July 1st. I know, I know it's upsettting.

So the 2 ways for you to follow me are:

Feedly will automatically import the blogs you follow through GFC without you needing to sign up with e-mail,so it's probably the easiest to setup.

Bloglovin also imports the blogs you follow but you have to make an account. I like Bloglovin better 'cause it's easier to navigate and if you want they will send blog updates directly to your e-mail

So, the choice is up to you.
They are both very easy to sign up with and work very well.
I hope I made this clear but if y'all have any questions just ask me!! Oh, and I have a "follow through Bloglovin" button on my sidebar so it'll be easy for you to follow!!

Atlanta Fest

Atlanta Fest part 2

26.6.13

Sorry it took so long to get this up, you can see the first part here

~

Building 429, they were awesome!!

And last but definitely not least, Crowder. He is probably on my top ten list of concerts. They had a super fun set-up and it felt just as much like a worship service as a concert.
Sadly there was a big storm that rolled in and they got cut short. The storm rolled through without causing any damage to our booth, thank God!

And then the last concert of the night was Lecrae! Sadly I have no idea what happened to the pictures of his concert so I will have to just say that it was a blast!
We also had some dear friends from our home group come and hang out with us, it was super fun to get to spend time with them.

Music Mondays ~ Strangely Dim

24.6.13

Strangely Dim by Francesca Battestelli

-

I've got all these plans piled up sky high
A thousand dreams on hold
And I don't know why,
I got a front row seat
To the longest wait
And I just can't see
Past the things I pray
Today

But when I fix my eyes on all that You are
Then every doubt I feel
Deep in my heart
Grows strangely dim
All my worries fade
And fall to the ground
Cause when I seek Your face
And don't look around
Any place I'm in
Grows strangely dim

Sometimes where I stand
On this narrow road
Is in a raging storm
Or a valley low
But oh

When I fix my eyes on all that You are
Then every doubt I feel
Deep in my heart
Grows strangely dim
All my worries fade
And fall to the ground
Cause when I seek Your face
And don't look around
Any place I'm in
Grows strangely dim

I don't know, I don't know
What tomorrow may hold
But I know, but I know
That You're holding it all
So no matter what may come

I'm gonna fix my eyes on all that You are
'Til every doubt I feel
Deep in my heart
Grows strangely dim
Let all my worries fade
And fall to the ground
I'm gonna seek Your face
And not look around
Til the place I'm in
Grows strangely, strangely, strangely dim.

Music Mondays ~ Light Up The Sky

24.6.13

Light Up The Sky by The Afters

-

When I’m feeling all alone and so far to go
The signs are nowhere on this road guiding me home
When the night is closing in
It’s falling on my skin
Oh God will You come close

Light, light, light up the sky
Light up the sky to show me You are with me
I, I, I can’t deny
Oh I can’t deny that You are right here with me
You’ve opened my eyes so I can see You all around me
Light, light, light up the sky
Light up the sky to show me You are with me

When stars are hiding in the clouds
I don’t feel them shining
When I can’t see beyond my doubt
The silver lining
When I’ve almost reached the end
Like a flood You’re rushing in
Love is rushing in

Light, light, light up the sky
Light up the sky to show me You are with me
I, I, I can’t deny
Oh I can’t deny that You are right here with me
You’ve opened my eyes so I can see You all around me
Light, light, light up the sky
Light up the sky to show me You are with me

So I run straight to Your arms
You’re the bright and morning Sun
To show Your love, there’s nothing You won’t do

Light, light, light up the sky
You light up the sky to show me You are with me
I, I, I can’t deny
Oh I can’t deny that You are right here with me
You’ve opened my eyes so I can see You all around me
Light, light, light up the sky
Light up the sky to show me You are with me

Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You are with me
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You are with me

I love this song!  Not only because it was pretty much the only song the radio station would play one summer but also because the words are so true!!   It is so good to be reminded how much He loves us and how he proves it day in and day out!

If you ever get the chance to see The Afters in concert, go!  They are a super fun concert to go to and they have lots of great songs.

Happy Monday!

We're going boatin'

22.6.13

Today we went boating!! One of our friends rented a boat for their birthday and invited us to come along! It was a super fun day full of water, sun screen, fishing, friends and sun burns.

Cousins

Partyin' with the cousins

20.6.13

 Sweet Baby!!

 He is adorable!

Yesterday my family and I migrated south for my sweet cousin, Savannah's birthday! Savannah has started the cycle of all of us cousins becoming even ages again. From 15 (that would be me) all the way down, we are all about 2 years apart.

I'm so glad that we were able to be there 'cause before long I won't be able to spend time with the cousins. I can't believe how quickly time flies, it feels like just yesterday we were visiting GA for the first time, when in reality it was 2 years ago.

I was the face painter for the party which, even though I won't be earning any awards, I think I did pretty well for my first time. Plus it's fun when you get to make your cousins into superheroes, puppies and pirates; I mean really what could be better than that??

Atlanta Fest

Atlanta Fest part 1

18.6.13

This past Wednesday-Saturday we had a booth at Atlanta Fest, a 4-day christian music festival. We were selling bracelets from Threads of Hope, the sales of the bracelets would benefit both Threads of Hope and our vehicle fund for Burkina.
The whole family had a great time talking to folks, enjoying great music and speakers and being blessed with great booth neighbors. It was a true time of fellowship and of refreshment, spiritual refreshment that is, it was definitely not physically refreshing on Wednesday and Thursday. I thought that I was going to melt into a puddle.
But- I survived!  As mom would say, it was "training" for Burkina. In Burkina that kind of weather would have been a cool day in the summer. Just thinking about that kinda makes me want to cry but I know that God won't give me things that I can't handle. SO without any further ado, Day 1 of Atlanta Fest pics:

Audio Adrenaline was one of the bands that played Wednesday night right after Sidewalk Prophets ( who were totally amazing, but sadly I forgot the camera at the booth )

 Their piano was awesome!
